Greenville Anderson SC Blog...Why Come To Paradise? PDF Print E-mail

brightphoto2.jpg Why come to Paradise? Because, for me, the Upstate of South Carolina is the best place to grow...to grow a family, to grow financially, to grow a bond with nature, to grow mentally, and to grow physically as I age with smile on my face. It is what real estate agents have been telling clients for years "location, location, location" and there is no better location than the Upstate, the Golden Corner or if you please, Paradise.

Why come to Paradise to grow a family? Because of traditional values and respect of others. When was the last time you walked through a mall and a teenager open the door for an older person or greets those around them with a smile or a thank you or hello. When was the last time you got in a long line at a checkout counter to find everyone trying to let everyone else go first or total strangers striking up conversations about families and friends while squeezing fruit. Those mannerisms are commonplace in the Upstate not the exception. Values, whether called religious or homespun southern hospitality or maybe both, lead one to feel secure in this wonderful environment.

Why come to Paradise to grow financially? Because the cost of living is low and the opportunities to grow a new business in a developing area are tremendous. Property taxes are low and property values are lower than most parts of the country. Establishing a business is like buying Microsoft stock at its initial offering. The Upstate sits midway between two large commercial cities, Atlanta and Charlotte, on the I-85 corridor. Baby boomers are not looking to Florida or other Sunbelt areas to retire as they once did. The Upstate's mild four-season climate and sweater weather winters are in demand. High taxes and even higher insurance cost coupled with repeated hurricane threats leaves the Upstate in prime position for a prosperous economy as retirees and service companies to support retirees arrive here. Do not get me wrong. This will never be the retirement capital of the world as manufacturing still supports large segments of the population with companies such as BMW, Michelin, Nutrasystems and Bosch. Ultimately, the demand to come to Paradise lies in its surroundings.

Why come to Paradise to bond with nature? Because there is no place on earth where nature is so apparently accessible. Waterfalls cascade along our downtown main streets and along our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in site of the Great Smokey Mountains. Clean to crystal clear lakes with thousands of miles of shorelines provide the ultimate in boating recreation. The top whitewater rafting river in the eastern United States, the Chattooga, lives here. whitewaterfalls.jpgHiking, biking, boating, snow sking, or just sitting back in wonderment of your surrounding are excellent ways to enjoy the Upstate.  View a few of my videos to get a small taste of Paradise.  We are here to serve all your relocation needs.  Please fill out a request for a Chamber of Commerce Welcome Package and we will send the package immediately.  Hope to hear from you soon! I have created my real estate site as an educational site of the Upstate rather than a site strictly to sell real estate.
